Instead of looking at debiliatation and exaltation, it's more useful to see the sign a planet gets whether it's saumya or kroor. A sun in Libra navamsha will absorb venutian qualities. Saumya rashis offer a more nourishing environment for the planet even if it's the neech rashi. Also check where that sign falls in D1. That's a more constructive way to look at it than saying outright this is bad, negative or terrible. Astrology is a tool to understand life patterns and karmic challenges and not a way to fear monger.

I have the exact same placement. Sun in Sag in 5th house D1 and Sun in Taurus in D9 12th house. I agree, the signs are more important in Navamsa as it's the rashi and its ansh which provide the environment for the planet. Even the houses get meanings from rashi. You can use rashi Tulya navmsha too so Sag to Taurus is 6/8 relation, which can be about transformation and changes etc. during the dasha/bhukti of Sun.

Another way to think about it is to first consider the benefic planet's natural significations before considering their functional malefic results. It is true that the lordships of 6th and 8th houses will act together by the principle of sehdharmi lords. But will the Raj yog of 5 and 7 have a meaningful effect?

parivartan with Saturn does support Jupiter and it's in its exaltation sign in D9. So by that very principle, your Jupiter is supported. You don't need to look for neechbhang.

That's great to hear. I wanted to have confirmation as there are some views about where planets should go e.g. 4th lord in 12th or 9th/10th lord in 12th...but do the 12th lords in 4th/10th/9th also produce the same effects as the movement is of different house lords. You're on point about Sagittarius and Pisces but I think Capricorn and Aquarius may also produce results because of Saturn lordship...Saturn as the karak of 8th and 12th.
